19 Years of Celebrating Design with Red Dot

For nearly two decades, Expo AV has proudly supported the Red Dot Design Awards in Singapore. We provide the technical backbone that allows this prestigious celebration of design excellence to shine. From the early years of setting up simple stage backdrops to today’s sophisticated audio, video, and lighting productions, our partnership with Red Dot has grown into one of our proudest long-term collaborations.

Each edition of the awards brings its own challenges and innovations. Our 3m x 3m LED wall has become a signature element of the awards. It frames the iconic Red Dot logo year after year, becoming a stage centerpiece that audiences have come to recognize. Over the years, we’ve refined how visuals, sound, and lighting come together. We ensure that every ceremony feels both fresh and timeless.

A Tradition of Innovation

What makes this partnership meaningful is not just the repetition of services. It is the way we have continually pushed the experience further. Whether improving clarity in sound systems, fine-tuning lighting to enhance the architectural beauty of Capitol Theatre, or introducing new visual elements, each year has been a step forward.

Spotlight on 2025

This year’s edition, held on 15 October 2025, was especially memorable. Beyond the familiar LED wall, we extended the experience into the very fabric of Capitol Theatre itself:

• Our ACME SAGITTA fixtures illuminated the theatre’s historic ceiling and interior façade, transforming the venue into a living canvas.

• Our Panasonic PT-RZ120 projector mapped and animated the Red Dot logo onto the dome ceiling, creating a dynamic visual experience that captivated the audience.

• With precision lighting programming, every award winner was lit glamorously as they made their strut along the catwalk stage.

• Our sound and audio management ensured that every music track matched the moment. Every announcement carried clarity, and the overall soundtrack — supported by our DJ — flowed seamlessly from start to finish.
