On 29 July 2026, Singapore EXPO Convention Centre became the stage for one of the year’s most anticipated automotive reveals. Porsche unveiled the new Cayenne Electric marking a new milestone for one of it's most important models. Built on an innovative 800V architecture, the new Cayenne Electric is the most powerful production Porsche ever made, with up to 1,140 hp in Turbo guise, combining sports car performance and everyday practicality with unmistakable Porsche design.

Behind every vehicle on that stage was a technical production of equal ambition. Seventy-two rig points. 230 square metres of LED distributed across towering columns and a cinematic rear display. A Martin Audio system tuned to make every cue land with physical impact. And a laser and lighting sequence so precisely choreographed that the reveal itself became the highlight of the night. This was Expo AV's show floor.

The Creative Vision: Porsche Meets Visionnaire

Every unforgettable reveal begins long before the first light comes on. Months before Singapore EXPO Hall 4 became an automotive theatre, Visionnaire had already imagined how the unveiling should feel. Not simply a product presentation, but an emotional journey designed around Porsche’s DNA - performance, engineering and innovation.

The creative process did not begin with stage drawings or technical specifications. It began with instinct.

A deep understanding of the Porsche brand, its engineering philosophy, and the expectations of an audience that knows excellence when it sees it.

From that vision emerged the entire scenography - the architecture of the room, the positioning of every LED surface, the reveal mechanism, and the cinematic unveiling sequence. Every second of the launch animation was storyboarded, refined and timed to create one singular moment where technology, emotion and engineering would converge.

Even the human performances were never treated as entertainment inserted between presentations. Every performer, every movement and every stage composition was carefully curated to become part of the narrative - complementing the reveal instead of distracting from it. The same philosophy extended to the selected Porsche drivers, who were thoroughly briefed and rehearsed, each movement precisely choreographed so that the vehicles became part of the storytelling rather than simply the subject of it.

From Vision to Execution But vision alone never creates a show. To transform creative ambition into reality required one of the region’s strongest audio, visual and lighting partners. That is where Expo AV entered the story.

Working from Visionnaire’s creative blueprint, Expo AV engineered every technical layer that would bring the concept to life. Weeks before the on-site build, lighting sequences had already been programmed, audio coverage meticulously mapped against the hall’s dimensions, and visual content tested across the LED configuration for flawless colour accuracy and seamless playback at scale. Nothing was left to chance - the lighting and laser show, one of the defining elements of the unveiling, was programmed and refined off-site long before the first truss was raised inside the venue.

By the time the crew arrived at Hall 4, every cue, every transition, and every technical parameter had already been rehearsed. The on-site build was execution, not experimentation.

The Build: 72 Rig Points Across Two Days

On 27 and 28 July, the Expo AV crew transformed Singapore EXPO Hall 4 from a raw convention space into a precision-engineered automotive theatre. The scale of the deployment was significant: 72 individual rig points across the hall’s ceiling grid, each one supporting lighting fixtures, LED infrastructure, or audio systems. Every rig point was calculated, weighted, and positioned to deliver exact coverage across the stage, the reveal area, and the audience zones.

Two days is tight for a deployment of this complexity. But the weeks of pre-production at our office meant the crew arrived with a clear execution plan. Truss rigging, LED assembly, speaker positioning, lighting focus, and system integration all ran in parallel, converging into a fully operational show environment by the evening of 28 July.

The Visual Canvas: 230 Square Metres of LED

Driving the visuals were two powerhouse systems working in concert. The Analog Way Aquilon C+, a fully modular 4K/8K multi-screen presentation system, handled real-time video processing with up to 120 megapixels of throughput at 10-bit colour depth, delivering ultra-low latency switching and seamless content management across the entire LED canvas.

Alongside it, the Dataton Watchout media server system composed and played back the multi-display show — video, animations, graphics, and live content — synchronised to the millisecond across every pixel of the 230-square-metre display. Together, the Aquilon C+ and Watchout gave the production team total control over a visual canvas of extraordinary scale and precision.

The Sound: Martin Audio WPC and Torus

An automotive reveal is not just visual. It is visceral. The sound design had to match the drama of the visuals and the energy of the reveal sequence. For this, Expo AV deployed a Martin Audio combination that delivered power, clarity, and control in equal measure.

Martin Audio WPC Line Arrays formed the main PA system, flown from the truss to deliver Wavefront Precision coverage across the full audience area. The WPC is a medium-format, three-way line array with dual 10-inch low-frequency drivers, dual midrange horns, and four compression drivers. With 100-degree horizontal dispersion and peak output of 141 dB, the WPC projects clean, powerful audio over distances exceeding 60 metres, more than enough to fill Hall 4 with authority.

Martin Audio Torus 12 constant-directivity speakers complemented the WPC arrays, providing precisely shaped coverage to specific audience zones. The Torus delivers consistent sound levels and tonal quality from front to back, ensuring that every guest whether seated front-row or standing at the rear of the hall - experienced the same clarity, the same impact, and the same emotional weight of every cue in the reveal sequence.

The combination was so powerful and so clear that it resonated even after the event ended. That is the hallmark of a Martin Audio deployment done right: sound that stays with you.

The Light: ACME Fixtures Meet grandMA3 Control

Lighting a car reveal is one of the most demanding briefs in event production. The light has to sculpt the vehicle — accentuating curves, catching paint finishes, and creating the atmosphere that builds anticipation before the curtain drops. For the Cayenne Electric launch, Expo AV deployed a lighting rig that combined precision beam fixtures with intelligent wash and effect lighting, all controlled by one of the industry’s most respected consoles.

ACME Sagitta Beam Spot Moving Lights delivered the dramatic beam effects that defined the reveal’s visual signature. With an intense, minimised 2-degree beam angle from a 160mm frontal lens, producing 2,340,000 lux at 5 metres, the Sagitta punched razor-sharp shafts of light through the haze. Ten gobos and three effect gobos, combined with rapid pan and tilt movement, allowed our lighting programmer to create dynamic mid-air patterns that built tension during the countdown and exploded into movement during the reveal itself.

ACME Pulsar S2 Beam/Wash Moving Lights added depth and versatility to the rig. Featuring a dual-head design with four 60-watt RGBW LEDs, the Pulsar S2 offers a zoom range from 2.5 to 28 degrees, shifting seamlessly between tight beams and wide, saturated washes. For the Cayenne reveal, this flexibility meant the same fixtures could deliver sharp mid-air effects during the high-energy moments and smooth, sculpted washes to bathe the car in colour once it was on stage.

All lighting was programmed and controlled via the grandMA3 Light console — the industry standard for complex, high-precision show control. With 60 separate playbacks, multi-touch screens, and the ability to scale to 250,000 parameters per session, the grandMA3 gave our lighting designer complete command over every fixture in the rig. Every cue was designed to complement the reveal narrative: slow, atmospheric builds during the preamble, sharp transitions on the countdown beats, and a full-room explosion of light at the moment the Cayenne Electric appeared.

Complementing the lighting rig was a full laser show that accompanied the dramatic lighting effects during the launch sequence. Our laser designer and lighting designer worked tirelessly across 27 and 28 July, programming and refining the combined laser and light sequence that would define the reveal. The result was an unveil that did not simply illuminate the car — it enveloped the entire hall in a choreographed spectacle of beams, colour, and precision that drew an audible response from the audience.

The Moment: When the Cayenne Electric Appeared

Every element of the production was designed to converge on a single moment: the reveal. The LED columns and rear screen shifted from atmospheric content to a cinematic countdown sequence. The Martin Audio system drove a building score through the room, each beat gaining intensity. The ACME Sagitta beams tightened into a single focal point on the stage. And then — the car appeared.

In that instant, the full force of the AVL rig came together. The LED surfaces erupted into high-resolution imagery of the Cayenne Electric in motion. The lighting rig opened up — beams sweeping outward, washes flooding the stage in Porsche’s signature palette, lasers cutting through the haze in a precision-timed sequence that our laser and lighting designers had spent two days perfecting. The audio system delivered the reveal cue with physical impact: a sound you did not just hear, but felt in your chest. The fourth-generation Cayenne Electric — the most powerful production Porsche ever built — stood under a canopy of light, laser, and sound that matched its engineering ambition.

Bringing it all together on the night was Expo AV's show caller, who executed the entire launch sequence with precision and composure. With dozens of cues spanning lighting, laser, audio, video, and LED — all converging on a single reveal moment — the show caller coordinated every department in real time, ensuring that each transition landed exactly as rehearsed.

It is a role that demands total command of the production and absolute calm under pressure, and it was delivered flawlessly.

That is the kind of  moment that separates a product presentation from an experience. And it is the kind of moment that only happens when creative minds and technical specialists work as one team — when every discipline shares the same objective and every detail serves the same story.

The collaboration between Visionnaire and Expo AV produced not simply one of the largest automotive launches in the region this year, but one of its most immersive and memorable - an event where creativity, technology and precision operated in perfect harmony.
