Expo AV’s Technical Backbone at APEX Hall 1

The Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF) returned to the Singapore EXPO from 12–14 November 2025, marking its 10th edition and bringing global leaders, policymakers, innovators, and financial institutions together to shape the next decade of finance.

For Expo AV, this milestone also reflects nearly eight years of supporting the Festival Stage at APEX Hall 1, delivering the technical clarity and reliability required of one of the festival’s most critical platforms.

A High-Demand Stage Built for Precision

The Festival Stage at APEX Hall 1 hosts keynotes, leadership dialogues, policy exchanges, and innovation showcases.

Sessions run back-to-back, hybrid elements are frequent, and transitions are tight.

Across all three days, Expo AV provided comprehensive AVL system design, operation, and management, ensuring a consistent, stable environment for every segment of the programme.

Audio Engineering: Clarity at the Core

Clear, reliable sound remains the foundation of the stage.

Throughout the festival, our audio team ensured:

  • strong speech intelligibility across the entire hall

  • balanced tone across multiple speaker profiles

  • stable mixes for both in-room and broadcast audiences

  • active monitoring and adjustments as room dynamics evolved

This disciplined approach enabled discussions — from regulatory insights to technical demonstrations — to be heard clearly and consistently without distraction.

A Multi-Layered Visual System

To support the festival’s visual requirements, Expo AV deployed:

  • a 54 m-wide LED wall as the main stage backdrop

  • six short-throw projectors and screens for extended display surfaces

  • unified switching workflows for seamless transitions

  • lighting cues tailored to session tone, structure, and visual pacing

This visual ecosystem ensured a cohesive experience across leadership sessions, remote contributions, and fast-moving content segments.

Broadcast Integration, Delivered with Partnership

Alongside our partner The Production Initiative (TPI), Expo AV supported the multicam broadcast and live-streaming operations within APEX Hall 1, ensuring the Festival Stage ran smoothly for on-site viewing. Together, we managed coordinated audio–video signal flow, integration of remote speakers, stable feeds across the hall’s display systems, and real-time alignment between stage, control, and broadcast teams. This ensured that key discussions reached a wider audience clearly and reliably.

Operational Discipline Across Three Days

Behind the technical systems is a team operating with precision and coordination.

Throughout the festival, the Expo AV crew executed:

  • rapid session turnovers

  • continuous technical verification

  • real-time adjustments to sound, lighting, LED, and projection

  • alignment with show callers and stage managers

  • backstage communication and safety management

  • support for hybrid and remote segments

This structured, steady workflow is what keeps the Festival Stage running seamlessly across a demanding three-day schedule.

Our Presence Across Other Halls at SFF 2025

While APEX Hall 1 remained our primary operational zone, Expo AV also contributed to other halls within the venue, providing visual display support and general technical assistance for selected exhibitors and activity zones.

This broader involvement reflects our ability to deliver consistent technical standards across multi-hall events.

A Look Back: Eight Years at APEX Hall 1

The 10th edition of SFF offers a moment to look back at the journey.

Across the years, Expo AV has supported numerous Festival Stages at APEX Hall 1 — each one different in theme, structure, and content, yet united by a shared expectation for technical excellence.

We’ve seen:

  • the rise of digital banking and early blockchain conversations

  • deep dives into cybersecurity, regtech, and digital ID

  • the expansion into sustainability, green finance, and inclusion

  • the growth of hybrid sessions, remote speakers, and global broadcast integration

  • increasing complexity in stage design, visual systems, and technical workflows

Every year, the festival pushes forward.

And every year, our role is to ensure that the technical environment keeps pace — steady, clear, and reliable.

This continuity is something we are proud of.

A Partnership Built Over Time

Our long-standing collaboration with Constellar Holdings, venue operator of the Singapore EXPO, remains integral to the festival’s technical success.

Years of aligned workflows, shared planning, and consistent communication allow us to operate APEX Hall 1 with confidence and precision.

We also extend our appreciation to our friends at MICE Depot, whose backstage support, readiness, and operational strength contribute meaningfully to smooth festival delivery.

These partnerships form part of the backbone that keeps high-pressure, high-volume events like SFF running seamlessly.

A Heartfelt Close to SFF 2025

As SFF concludes its 10th edition, we’re reminded that behind every well-executed programme is a network of dedicated people — organisers, partners, production teams, technical crew, and venue operators — working towards a shared standard of excellence.

This year’s festival was no exception.

To Constellar, MICE Depot, TPI, and all partners involved:

thank you for the collaboration, trust, and teamwork across all three days.

To our Expo AV crew:

your discipline, consistency, and professionalism keep the stage solid year after year.

As always, we look forward to shaping the next chapter together!
